Caring and compassionate society

Scampia is an area in the suburbs of Naples well known for a high of crime rate, mostly drug related. It is also the place where Angela Faraco lives. She’s a young disabled woman, stuck on a wheelchair, that lives on the 4th floor of a complex whose elevator is not working. To be honest it hasn’t worked since 1994 and Angela has been able to get in and out of her “prison” only thanks to the loving help of her neighboors that, everytime she needed toleave or come back home, picked her and her wheelchair and carried up and down the 4 flights of stairs.

The neighbours weren’t exactly living there, rather working, as the building was the “home” of a vast drug dealing network, and the “boys” were just pushers. Angela’s problem begun when they were arrested and put in jail.
