In the summer of 1991 Alberica Filo Della Torre was murdered in her villa in the outskirts of Rome. Investigations were fruitless until, 20 years later, during new questionings – mainly aimed at the use of DNA techniques that weren’t available at the time – the filipino butler confessed the murder.
We learn today that in telephone recordings of the butler made in 1991 the man ask a friend to put him in contact with someone that was to buy a ring and a necklace belonging to the woman. But nobody cared to translate them to italian. (link)
